5 ways to boost your daily energy.

5 ways to boost your daily energy.

Feeling sluggish? Tired? Snooze-y? Read on for five ways to get more energy in your day so you can fight fit and feel fabulous!

Stretch instead of being stationery.

Look it might sound counterintuitive, but exercise and stretching will give us a big ol’ burst of energy. Fact!

So - make like a cat and streeeeeetch. A super important practice, stretching causes increased blood and nutrient flow throughout the body, which equals rejuvenated energy levels. Stretch on for a stiff-free zone!

Breathe in. Breathe out.

Take some time out of your day to take a few deep breathes. A handful of deep breathes gives a rush of oxygen to the brain which boosts mood, energy levels, and brain power. One, two, three… Inhale!

Get thirsty.

Dehydration can leave you feeling drained. Therefore, hydration is key to keep them daily energy levels up. So get drinking. Drink lots of water, drink juice, drink herbal teas (bonus points for adding lemon!)… Just drink! Eating high-water snacks (cue: watermelon, oranges, apples and cucumbers) also keeps the body functioning fabulously.

Grab a pressed juice over a processed snack.

By now, we (should!) all know the importance of juice. Juices contain fruit and veg, which is high in vitamins and minerals (but you knew that). Packed with a truckload o’ nutrients and healthy enzymes (hello happy gut!) juice also contains anti-inflammatory compounds that can boost the immune system and help us feel more energetic.

Bonus point: filling up on either juice, fibres and proteins (and staying away from processed snacks!) will make you full without that heavy or sluggish feeling. We’ll drink to that!

Pop that Vitamin.

Especially B1. No we’re not talking about Bananas In Pyjamas! By B1 we mean Thiamin - it helps to convert glucose into energy and has a starring role in nerve function. Another fatigue fighter? Iron. Taking iron tablets “can reduce tiredness by 50%” the Daily Mail reports.

And all other B group Vitamins, as well as Vitamin D - we’re looking at you too.

Juice Institute is home to cold pressed juices and cleanses. Our juice gives busy people a simple way to recharge, energise and find balance.
